Exciting news from our neighbouring parish of St Andrew, Leytonstone

The Bishop of Barking (acting under the authority of the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford), has been pleased to formally make two new clerical appointments to the ecclesiastical parish of St Andrew, Leytonstone.

The next Priest-in-Charge of the parish will be The Reverend Paul Trathen.
Paul is, at present, the Vicar of St Peter-in-the-Forest, Walthamstow
and the Chaplain of Forest School.
He will continue to fulfil those ministries,
alongside that of a collegial oversight ministry to St Andrew, Leytonstone.

The next Associate Priest of the parish will be The Very Reverend J. Paul Kennington.  Paul is, at present, the Dean of Montreal and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral, in the Diocese of Montreal, within the Anglican Church of Canada.
He will live in the parish parsonage and thus be
St Andrew's most immediate and visible 'parish priest' and pastor.

Both Licences will be given at a single service in St Andrew's church, during the evening of Monday 19 December 2016.

A short biography for Fr Paul Kennington, & an initial pastoral letter written to the church family at St Andrew's, can be found here.
